This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled when you use the mobile application "kaleido" (the "App"), provided by Yoshio Yuba, an individual developer based in Japan ("we", "us" or "our"). kaleido is an app that delivers instantly playable mini-games in a feed format.
You do not need an account to play games in the App, and the App does not ask you to enter your name, e-mail address or any other information that directly identifies you. An account is needed only if you post a game you made with Studio (the App's game-making feature); see "If you use Studio" below. The App automatically collects the following information:
The App's notification feature uses only local notifications that are handled entirely on your device. No data is sent to external parties for the purpose of notifications.
If you use Studio: if you only make games in Studio, your unfinished games (drafts) are stored only on your device and are not sent anywhere. When you open your list of posted games or templates published by others, and when you post, report or block, we handle the following information:

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent screen powered by Google's consent management platform (UMP) is shown when you first launch the App.
If you are located in certain US states (such as California and other states whose laws grant a right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information), you can likewise choose, from "Privacy settings" in the App's menu (the person icon at the top right), not to have your personal information "sold" or "shared" (as those terms are defined under the applicable state law).

The App uses the following services provided by Google LLC. The data described in Section 1 is shared with these services for advertising and analytics purposes and is handled in accordance with Google's privacy policy.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with any third party other than the service providers listed above. Game content is delivered through Cloudflare Pages, and standard server access logs (including IP addresses) may be processed for delivery and security purposes. Studio creator names, posted games, and report and block records are stored in Cloudflare's database and storage (Cloudflare D1 / R2) (Cloudflare Privacy Policy). To check posts and reports, we use GitHub (to compile a daily review list) and Claude by Anthropic (to review the content); the titles, descriptions, creator names and user IDs of posted games and the contents of reports are processed by these services.
The service providers listed above may process your data in regions outside the country in which you live, including the United States. For transfers of data from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google relies on legally recognised safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). Please refer to the privacy policy of each service for details.
All data collected is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS / TLS) and is protected securely.
Playing games in the App does not use an account, and we do not store any data that directly identifies you.
Deleting your Studio account: you can delete it at any time from "Delete account" in the App's menu (the person icon at the top right) or under "Posted" in Studio. When you delete it, your creator name, posted games (including thumbnails), consent records, report and block records, and account information are deleted immediately, and your creator name becomes available to others. As an operational record, we keep only the fact that a deletion took place (a random user ID and the date and time). Studio drafts are stored on your device and are not deleted (they are removed when you uninstall the App). If you have already uninstalled the App, you can request deletion on the account deletion request page.

Under the laws of the region in which you live (such as the GDPR in the EEA, the UK GDPR, and other data protection laws), you have the following rights:
You can delete your Studio account data yourself as described in Section 7. Other data is not tied to an account, so it may be technically difficult for us to identify a specific user and extract that user's data individually. Even in such cases, you can at any time reset the Advertising ID on your device or withdraw your consent from "Privacy settings" as described in Section 3. To exercise your rights, please contact us by e-mail at the address below.
The App is not intended for anyone under the age of 13, or under the age of consent set by the laws of their place of residence (13 to 16 in the EEA, depending on the country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone below the applicable age. If you have not reached the applicable age, you may not use the App.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If we make changes, we will post them on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top.
Where a postal address is required by law, for example in connection with a disclosure request, we will provide it on an individual basis.
