Plain-language summary (the numbered terms below are what counts): you keep ownership of your game. You let us run it in the kaleido feed, adapt it technically, and show it in our promotion — including paid ads. We don't pay submitters at this stage. If a revenue-share program launches later, it will be a separate opt-in agreement and will not apply retroactively. We review by hand and decide what goes live.
1. Ownership. You keep all rights to your game and its feed card. Nothing here transfers ownership to us.
2. License you grant us. By submitting, you grant
kaleido a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:
(a) host, reproduce, and distribute the game and its feed card within the
kaleido app and on our website, including distribution of the app through app
stores;
(b) modify them as needed for technical integration (feed wiring, advertising
integration, muting, performance and edge-margin adjustments) and create or
adapt short preview/demo versions for the feed — ads may be shown before,
after, or at natural breaks around your game;
(c) use gameplay footage, screenshots, the game title, and your stated handle
in kaleido's promotion, including paid advertising.
This license lasts while your game is listed. It survives only for promotional
materials already produced or distributed. To the extent permitted by law, you
agree not to assert moral rights (including rights of attribution and
integrity) against kaleido or anyone we authorize, in connection with the uses
licensed above.
3. Your warranties. You confirm that: the game and its feed card are your own work, or you hold all rights needed to submit them; they do not infringe anyone's intellectual property or other rights — including recognizable third-party characters, art, music, and fonts; you may use any tools to make them, including AI tools — responsibility for the result stays with you regardless of the tools used.
4. Content and listing. Submissions must follow the kaleido Submission Guidelines. Whether, when, and where a game appears in the feed is at our discretion. We may decline, reorder, or remove any game at any time. We do not guarantee listing, exposure, feed position, or continued availability.
5. Withdrawal. You can withdraw your game at any time by emailing us. We will remove it from the feed within 30 days. Withdrawal does not recall promotional materials already produced or distributed, or copies already cached on users' devices.
6. No compensation at this stage. kaleido shows ads and currently retains all ad revenue. Submitters receive no payment or revenue share under these terms. If we launch a revenue-share program in the future, it will be offered as a separate, opt-in agreement, and it will apply from opt-in forward only — no retroactive payments for any period before it. Games already in the feed will be equally eligible to opt in.
7. Age. If you are under 18 (or a minor where you live), submit only with a parent's or guardian's consent.
8. Breach and liability. If your warranties in section 3 turn out to be false, we may remove the game immediately, and you are responsible for claims arising from that breach. kaleido is provided as-is; to the extent permitted by law, we accept no liability under these terms beyond what mandatory law requires.
9. Changes and governing law. We may update these terms. Material changes will be sent to your contact email; keeping your game listed after notice means you accept them — you can always withdraw instead (section 5). These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
